Valorant update 9.03 brings some changes to the ground spread and map-related abilities in the game. In addition, Pearl is now available for console players with the new update. Here are all the changes coming with patch 9.03 for Valorant.
Riot Games is constantly expanding the number of maps available in Valorant on consoles, and like Icebox in Patch 9.02, Update 9.03 adds Pearl to the list of maps available in the game.
Apart from that, there are a number of changes that will have a noticeable impact on the quality of gaming life on all platforms.

Riot has taken a deep dive into how various abilities work in Valorant and has made notable changes, particularly to ground-spreading abilities and map-focused abilities. Additionally, Sage’s Barrier Orb ability will also offer placement previews on the minimap.
Apart from that, Riot has also implemented some bug fixes to improve the overall gaming experience for players.

- The way overlapping interactive objects work has been improved and should now more reliably perform the desired action.

Soil spreading capabilities
- We improve skills that spread across the ground, such as Brimstones Arsonists And Snake bite of the viperPreviously, these abilities had inconsistent effects depending on the exact location they hit, ranging from extremely different sizes to doing damage through walls and in areas where the ability was not visually present. With this update, these abilities should spread more consistently and only deal damage in locations that match the visual.
Improving card-related skills
- You can now ping and see additional icons on maps used for ability alignment.
- Affected skills: Brimstones sky smoke And Orbital strikeCarnations Listand Omens From the shadows.
Sage’s Barrier Orb
- Barrier balls The placement preview is now also displayed on the minimap.

- Improved performance of Iso’s Killing contract Capability.

- Fixed an issue where opening menus would reset the crouch/walk toggle state.
Game systems
- Fixed a bug where when pinging weapons on the ground, the weapon name would not appear in the text feed.
- Fixed a rare bug that caused the defuse timer to display as “-00.00” if the spike was defused when the round timer reached 0.
- Fixed an issue where ability icons were not displayed on the minimap as an observer.
- Fixed an issue where you could see an enemy in certain scenarios but they would not appear on the minimap.
- Fixed an issue where “DAMAGE DEALED TO YOU/DAMAGE DEALED TO YOU” would overlap the Battle Report widget.
- Fixed issues with font size readability in the Battle Report in certain languages.
- Fixed an issue with the Outlaw, Marshall, and Operator auto-scope setting remaining active while the weapon was reloading.
