The long-awaited PC port of Red Dead Redemption seems to be imminent, as the PlayStation Store has strangely claimed that the game is “now on PC.”

That’s not true, of course, as Red Dead Redemption is still only available on consoles despite its 2010 release, but the update to the official PlayStation description certainly suggests there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. This comes after a datamine on developer Rockstar Games’ website also mentioned a PC port in May 2024.

“Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation, now for the first time ever on PC,” says the PlayStation Store page, spotted by @Wario64 on X/Twitter. “Also included is Undead Nightmare, the iconic horror story that transforms the world of Red Dead Redemption into an apocalyptic fight for survival against a zombie horde.”

The post also mentions other PC elements: “Red Dead Redemption offers the complete single-player experience of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, all upgrades from the 2023 console version, and PC-specific improvements including support for higher resolutions and frame rates, multiple displays and other accessories, and spatial surround sound.”

The description also states that this version of the game doesn’t include any multiplayer content, but PC fans probably won’t mind and will just be happy to finally get the game just before its 15th anniversary.

Rockstar has long neglected PC gamers, not even releasing Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC at the same time as the consoles, but a year later. The same goes for Grand Theft Auto 6, which will likely be the biggest video game launch of all time, as no PC version has been announced.
