Richard Pace announced that he would support adding two or three more Ryanair routes to the airport.
The low-cost airline started operating from Norwich Airport in April and currently offers twice-weekly flights to Alicante, Malta and Faro during the summer.
Speaking to BBC Radio Norfolk, Pace said Ryanair’s first four months had been successful and the airline was pleased with its performance “both commercially and operationally”.
He said the routes had been very popular, with all flights operating at 90% or more.
When asked about the airline’s future plans, he said: “I think I would like to see two or three more routes added to the existing ones next summer. Hopefully we will know that in September.”
“All the signs, our performance, the way the customers have supported Norwich… I see no reason why we shouldn’t have extra capacity next summer.”
The routes were so successful that additional flights to Faro were added to meet demand during the October half-year period.
In May, just six weeks after its Norwich debut, Ryanair confirmed that its flights to Alicante would continue during the winter season until next March, which Mr Pace described as “another major vote of confidence from Ryanair in Norwich Airport”.
When Ryanair began operating from the airport, the move created more than 60 new jobs and the opportunity for more than 60,000 passengers to pass through the terminal each year.
Norwich Airport offers flights to 18 destinations in nine countries, with connections to 150 further locations via Amsterdam.
With a total of nine destinations, Tui is the largest operator of Norwich Airport.
